Susan Purgason brings a lifelong appreciation for architecture, design, and presentation to her role as a REALTOR. Raised in South Carolina, she spent much of her time in historic Charleston, where the Classical and Gothic Revival architecture, gardens, and coastal landscapes first inspired her passion for the built environment. That passion evolved into interior design and staging, and ultimately into a successful career in real estate. Susan’s academic background in Fine Arts from Florida State University, English from The College of Charleston, and graduate studies in finance and accounting from Clemson University provides a unique balance of creative vision and analytical expertise.
Susan was instrumental in building The Purgason Group alongside Ed, helping establish its reputation for thoughtful preparation, strategic marketing, and consistent results. In 2023, she co-founded Purgason Prime Properties following the team’s transition to eXp Realty, further strengthening their brand and expanding their reach across the Triad and coastal markets. In late 2025, Susan and Ed relocated to Sunset Beach, where they joined Creekmore Realty Group, bringing their experience, trusted reputation, and client-focused approach to serve buyers and sellers along the North Carolina coast.
Susan specializes in working with both buyers and sellers, with particular expertise in resale homes, renovation design, interior decorating, staging, and premarketing strategy. Known for her keen eye and attention to detail, she helps sellers present their homes at the highest level while also guiding buyers to recognize opportunity and potential. Susan is committed to providing a seamless, professional experience and building lasting relationships with every client she serves.
